WRITING ABOUT REFUGEES
 A competition for Student Journalists

Refugees and asylum seekers coming to Europe repeatedly make headlines, but not all the information given about them is true.  The numbers of new arrivals often make front-page news while the stories and individual testimonies behind the sound bites are often lost.

The Jesuit Refugee Service organises a regular competition for student journalists to investigate the reality behind the headlines.  The competition is open to all matriculated students of higher education in a member state of the council of Europe.

The next edition of the competition for student journalists will be launched in November 2007.  More information will be posted on the website shortly.
