Project Outline

JRS Europe will (1) create a coalition of key actors at national levels and (2) open broader debate at European level to highlight the Destitution Migrants issue.

(1) Creating a network:

  • JRS offices in 8 European countries (Spain, Germany, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Romania, United Kingdom, Ukraine) will implement the project on a national level

  • The local JRS offices, together with JRS Europe, plan public media events in each individual country. The national offices will select a specific topic. The events will include a one-day workshop where strategic partners will share their experiences and document best practice recommendations. A representative of the participants will be invited to present the recommendations at the final conference in Brussels.

(2) Open a debate at European level:

  • Based on the “We are dying silent” report JRS Europe will identify best practices among the services provided to destitute migrants. We plan to organise a major conference in Brussels where press will be invited.
