(3) National Events (May 2009 –February 2010)

         (i)     JRS country offices will organise eight events on the topics referred to in the
destitution report (healthcare, access to education, housing, work conditions).

(ii)    Each national office will identify the topics that are most relevant in their situation.
The  national events will include a media element as well as a workshop where the
main destitution actors at national level will try to identify best practices on destitute
service provision. Workshops will be designed in a way that will allow to compare
different situations and facilitate common policy recommendations – the European
recommendations of the final conference will thus build on the national experiences.

(4) European Destitute Conference (December 2010)

         (i)    The main objectives of the conference are to open a debate on the Destitution issue at
European level, to bring together stakeholders and policy makers providing service to
destitute people and try to adopt minimum standards regarding service provision to
destitute people. The three day conference will start with a video presentation on the
destitute problem across Europe, then a introductory session by JRS, followed by 4
parallel workshop focused on the topics mentioned above.

(5) Publication (February 2011)
