Migrants and refugees are no different from other people, yet they are given no name. At most, we identify them  by a number of a file or a residence permit, or by statistics. This book tells eleven stories - all authentic - which recount the tragedies of refugees arriving in Centro Astalli, the Jesuit Refugee Service in Italy. The stories put a spotlight on the humiliation and suffering forcibly displaced persons endure, and invites the public to question migration policy. First released in Italian in 2005, the French translation is now available.
