FUTURE OF THE LISBON TREATY
:
Impact on migrant and refugee policy
As the last
country in the EU, the Czech Republic ratified the
Lisbon Treaty on November 3, concluding that it was not
in conflict with national legislation. Known as the EU
Reform Treaty, the Lisbon Treaty might come into force
as early as December 1.
JRS Europe's Senior Policy Officer, Stefan Kessler, has
commented on the possible impact the Treaty can have on
migrant and refugee policy in the European Union.
