Regency placements and short-term internships with JRS offices in Europe

JRS offers regency placements for Jesuit scholastics and brothers for one or two years in various country offices. The advertised positions reflect a real apostolic need and are essential to the work and the development of JRS in Europe. Each post provides an opportunity for direct apostolic work with refugees and forced migrants on a daily basis. This work is carried out in a small team. All placements include the possibility to live in a Jesuit community that has an interest in welcoming young Jesuits and that is able to provide adequate support and accompaniment for them.

Short-term internships for Jesuits offer an opportunity to get to now the work of JRS from first-hand experience. They are suitable for experiments e.g. during the novitiate, for poverty experiments at different stages of Jesuit formation, for summer placements, and for other commitments of 6-8 weeks. Interns will be involved in the daily accompaniment of refugees and forced migrants and will learn about the apostolic challenges of faith that does justice. It is necessary that the intern already knows the language of his host country, or that he is actively studying it.

JRS is also happy to welcome young priests after ordination to these positions.
