World Refugee Day 2008 - JRS events throughout Europe Although JRS-Europe is not directly organising an event on June 20th to coincide with World Refugee Day, it is expected that a number of different events will be held in the different county offices in order to mark the day. On June 11th, JRS-Italy, in coordination with our international office, will invite the Father General of the Society of Jesus, Fr Aldolfo Nicolas, to speak in Italy about access to aslyum.  On June 14th, JRS-UK will hold the JRS Refugee Party at Stamford Hill Parish.  If you wish to attend the event, RSVPs should be sent to the UK office: uk(a)jrs.net.  On June 24th, the German JRS Country Director, Mr Martin Stark, will take part in a discussion on the situation of Christian refugees from Iraq on German talk-back radio station, Radio Horeb. More details about these events and other JRS events will be announced in the coming weeks.
